woohoo no work again today!

I'm slowly getting used to not working, actually thats bollocks, I LOVE not working, although it's a little strange and I feel the pressure to DO something, I am definately not going to sleep in all day as much as its tempting! I did the food shopping yesterday, went to the gym this morning, and got some fruit and veges, I'm happy that golden kumura are reasonable again- still not purchasing broccoli at stupid prices, this week I want to get some lettuce and tomato in the pots so I have some homegrown stuff, speaking of home grown, my plum tree is just like BURSTING with wee green plums, I am so sad that the birds will get them all and I will only end up with enough for a couple of jars of jam again, so if anyone has any tips on how to protect the tree, let me know!!! ( just took photos but the camera is not being recognised by the pc so something weird going on - just imagine a bright green plum tree, ok?!)

However, Before the camera and pc had an argument, I managed to get some pics of our baby, she is SO sad, a couple of years ago she got a cut/scrape on her ear, and we have tried EVERYTHING to fix it, and I'm scared if we take her to the vet they will cut it off, so this is the last restort- shes got a bucket on her head in the hope it will heal properly, its horrible tho - just LOOK at her!!! She wouldn't get up on the bed either, I had to hoist her up, and she's not so little anymore, I must admit tho, Its kinda funny watching her move, and I feel bad, but I laughed at her when she was trying to walk through the door..... at least i trimmed the bucket so its not so huge!!

What a sweetie. I had a much loved dog that got shot when I was 7 mos pregnant. I had to carry him everywhere. One night I heard a strange tapping in the hall.I looked out and there he was hauling ass. The minute he saw me-he fell down like he couldn't move again!

Oh your baby does look misrable!!So pleased the not working is working so well.
For your plum tree you can get a very fine cloth that you can throw over your tree so the birds cannot get your fruit, We use it here for that very same thing, and as a frost cover. Cannot recall the name but ask at the plant shop- or even have a look at the good old Warehouse.

is it like a big length of cheese cloth Sonya? will it still let the sun thru to the plums?

Hi ya Danice, Its a nylon type bird netting- might even be called bird netting (fancy that!!- silly me!)It is more messy than cheese cloth and yes, it does let the sun through, all of the cherry orchard and wine vinyard people use it around here to keep the birds off their fruit. I will check out the name of it for you.
