My maternal instincts......

They do exist. I remembered this evening that its Derek's birthday tomorrow. Now I have been remembering this all week. For some reason today is the day I was MEANT to remember so I could get him a birthday present. Needless to say, I forgot until his stepmum turned up with a card.... LUCKY I am slightly organised cos I had the stuff to make a cake. A chocolate cake even! (I don't particulary like chocolate) Whilst I was being busy beavering away making this cake, he walks in the door *sigh*

So no surprise choccie birthday cake, but he is happy anyway.

(On a side note I am loving my new silicone cake dish, it really does work!)
